Curriculum
Midreshet Eshel’s comprehensiveone well balanced curriculum is designed to combine textual learning with stimulating discussion. Topics chosen are relevant to the student’s life and enhance their personal and religious growth.
Courses include: Tanakh, Jewish Thought, Halacha, Torah, Psychology, The Jewish Woman, Group Dynamics, Modern Israeli History, Hebrew Language and Character Development (Middot), Jewish History, Yoga, Zumba, and Sephardic Cooking.
Sephardic Studies
Eshel gives students a unique opportunity to learn about their rich sephardic heritage through such specialized courses as Sephardic Halacha, Sephardic Sages and Communities, and Sephardic Life & Customs Around the World.
The Total Experience
The Jewish education at Eshel seminary offers insights into Jewish identity, Jewish tradition, classical Jewish learning, plus exciting tours around Israel and practical “hands on” activities to build skills and have fun. Classes such as Sephardic Cooking , yoga, zumba, and painting create those special memories that stay with the students long after they leave school. These are woven into the weekly schedule to further encourage the development of the student by integrating the spiritual and physical aspects of life.
Credits
Students earn college credit in accordance with individual school policy.
