Julie grew up in Toronto, Canada in a family with a strong Jewish identity and connection to Israel. As a teenager, her parents sent her on the ‘March of the Living’ where she visited Poland and Israel and came face to face with Jewish History and decided that she would live her life as a proud Jew, whatever that meant… Fast-forward to her college years where she became involved in defending Israel on campus and in Jewish life- there Julie discovered the beauty and authenticity of Torah Judaism. Motivated by this and her desire to be part of the Jewish future, Julie skipped out on the chance to go to law school in America, married Patrick (a good Moroccan boy from Montreal) and moved to the Old City of Jerusalem. Today Julie and Patrick are still in the Old City (around the corner from Eshel) raising their 5 (bli ayin hara) delightful little children. Julie loves to teach about ‘Torat Chaim’ and share the Torah’s wisdom in a practical way on subjects like love, relationships, women’s issues, and living a happy and fulfilled life.
